The benefit of not having a television is...

...the ability to go about my normal life, without having a lifeline attached to a television set. I miss the cliff hangers and the season breaks, which I kind of love. I get immediate satisfaction by watching every episode, back to back, throughout my work week, while I'm working. Just about everything is available online, and I never have to schedule my night around what show I need to be home for, nor do I have to invest in DVR.

All I'm saying is that there are greater things than cable tv, and one of them is the internet...if you have the patience.
